The Nixa.io Onboarding Process

Every candidate that would like to join Nixa.io will need to complete and pass our onboarding process. We have built a thorough and well-tested process that consists of two steps. The process is designed to assess your technical skills and job preferences to ensure the best match possible. Once completed, you can sit back, relax, and wait for top remote job offers to land in your inbox.

Technical Assessment

We have designed a technical test to assess your programming and problem-solving skills. You will need to pass this test in order to move forward with the onboarding.

What you need to do

  • You will be able to choose between completing a Front-end or Back-end test. You only have to pass one test to move forward with the onboarding.
  • The Front-end test requires familiarity with React.js or Vue.js. The Back-end test is language agnostic and you can choose whatever language you prefer.
  • The test consists of three tasks at different levels of difficulty. You are free to decide which order you would like to complete the tasks in.
  • The test is time-locked to 120 minutes. Once started, the test has to be completed in one sitting, so make sure that you set aside enough time.

How it works

  • The test is hosted online and can be completed at your own convenience. You do not have to download anything to get started with the test.
  • You will be able to access the test directly from the platform or from the email we'll send you with a link to start the test.
  • Once completed, you will be redirected back to the platform and you will be able to access your test results after 15 minutes. We'll also send you an email with the results.
  • We are using a plagiarism detection tool to prevent cheating. If your test is marked as plagiarised, you will be informed and receive your test results manually. This might take up to 24 hours.
  • If you don't pass the test, you will be able to retake it in 3 months. We will notify you once the test is reopened and you can try again.

Screening Interview

Once the technical test is passed, you will be invited to complete a screening interview with your Talent Advocate. The interview is designed to provide more information about how the platform works but most importantly, learn more about you and your job preferences.

What you need to do

  • You will be instructed to book a 30-minute slot with your Talent Advocate through our Calendly integration.
  • The interview can be booked at your convenience and you will be able to reschedule if something happens.
  • Make sure to add information to your profile in advance. The more we know about you before the interview, the more productive we can be. Uploading your CV is a minimum requirement.
  • You will receive an email with the agenda and all necessary meeting details. You will be able to access this directly from the platform too.

How it works

  • We will spend the initial part of the interview introducing you to Nixa.io, how the platform works, and what to expect. We will also reserve time to answer your questions. Come prepared so that you get the most out of it.
  • We will spend the remainder of the interview discussing your experience and job preferences. We are especially interested in your preferences to ensure that we match you with the best opportunities.
  • We will also use this screening interview to assess your English level and communication skills. Having an English level of adequate or full working proficiency is required to onboard the platform.
  • You will receive feedback from your Talent Advocate within the next 24 hours. If you pass the screening interview, you'll be asked to complete your profile before we publish it on the platform and start matching you with opportunities.
  • If you don't pass the screening interview, you will be able to retake it in 3 months. We will notify you once the interview is reopened and you can book a new time.
